Janet Leigh (1927 -- 2004)

Eternally famous for her Oscar-nominated performance in Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), in which she was stabbed to death in the Bates Motel shower, Janet Leigh was a beautiful blonde actress who enjoyed a long, successful acting career. In her twenties, she was cast in such films as Little Women (1949), Holiday Affair (1949), The Naked Spur (1953) and Living it Up (1954). She starred in Orson Welles' Touch of Evil (1958) and the original Manchurian Candidate (1962), and made some sixty films in all, together with a multitude of television appearances.

For eleven years she was married to Tony Curtis, with whom she had two daughters, Kelly and Jamie Lee Curtis. She appeared alongside Jamie Lee in The Fog (1980) and Halloween H20 (1998). Both daughters were with her when she passed away, aged 77, in her native California on 3 October 2004.
